For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His GRACE through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24
I am pretty excited and nervous to be writing my own blog. I have honestly felt called to write this for a long time but lacked the confidence to do it. I kept thinking it would be too challenging to keep up with given my life's speedometer seems to whiz by me most of the time. However, now I will answer that call and open myself up in a new way to life's experiences and God's constant love and grace through all my frazzled moments. I recently turned 30, have a 2 month old baby girl named Paisley, a 5 1/2 (can't forget the 1/2) year old little girl name Emily, I'm about to celebrate 12 years of marriage to my lifelong friend, coworker-who is also a youth an family minister named Levi, and I have worked in ministry myself for almost 5 years now. I am blessed to work at the church I grew up in, was baptized in, married in, and brought both of my daughters to their first church service in. WE LOVE OUR CALLING!!! But our life is not filled with the sounds of harps playing and Angels singing all the time, and I do not feel called to write a guilt filled, worthless blog about perfection. I want to share the moments of laughter and tears, triumphs and tragedies that we live in. Our life is crazy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Motherhood has taught me a million lessons but one is that my best laid plans usually get squashed, changed, or cancelled but that I better soak up these moments because life is too short to miss the beautiful mess!
